Dr Tammy Rothenberg - Consultant Paediatrician and Allergist

BA (Physiological Sciences, Oxford) | BM BChir | MRCPCH | MSc Allergy (Imperial College London)

Dr Tammy Rothenberg is a Consultant Paediatrician and Allergist with specialist expertise in the full range of childhood allergic conditions. She trained at Oxford and holds an MSc in Allergy from Imperial College London — one of the UK's leading postgraduate allergy programmes.

Dr Rothenberg is the Paediatric Asthma Lead at Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, where she leads the diagnosis and management of childhood asthma and recurrent wheeze. She is a member of the British Society for Allergy and Clinical Immunology (BSACI).

Her areas of particular expertise include:
- Childhood asthma and recurrent wheeze
- Food allergies in babies and children (including CMPA, nut and egg allergy)
- Hay fever and allergic rhinitis in children
- Urticaria (hives) in children
- General paediatric concerns alongside allergy




Dr Emily Derrick - Consultant Paediatrician and Allergist


MBBS | MRCPCH | MSc Allergy

Dr Derrick is the Clinical Lead for Paediatric Allergy at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust, where she leads the assessment and management of complex childhood allergic disease. She trained in general paediatrics at St Mary's Hospital, the Royal London and Evelina Children's Hospital, where she specialised in allergy. 

Dr Derrick's practice covers the full spectrum of childhood allergic disease, with particular interests in cow's milk protein allergy, nut and food allergies, and eczema in babies and children. Her dual training in general paediatrics means she can assess wider childhood health concerns that may arise alongside an allergy presentation.

Her areas of particular expertise include:
- Cow's milk protein allergy (CMPA) in babies and toddlers
- Nut, egg and food allergies in children
- Eczema and allergic skin disease
- Pet allergies, venom allergies & drug allergies in children
- Delayed food reactions

Dietetic Support

​To ensure the holistic care of young children, Misbah Primett is an allergy dietician who supports the care of children with allergies by offering tailored guidance on (amongst other things):
 
  • Step-by-step instructions on the introduction of allergenic foods during weaning
  • Use of hypoallergenic formulas
  • Stepwise reintroduction plans, including the milk ladder
  • Nutritional assessment and meal planning for restricted diets
  • Support with navigating food labelling and catering in schools or nurseries
